This is the city of Haines, Alaska. It was snowing as I shot this picture. We had expected a week full of rain, but the first two days were spectacular and sunny, then the snow came and was followed by rain that washed away all traces of the snow. The temperature ranged between 29 and 41 degrees in the daytime. Haines has a population of 1500. Given an opportunity, I know two more souls who'd like to be added to that population.
