Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias). Large, gray-blue heron; black strip extends above eye; white foreneck is streaked with black. Breeding adult has yellowish bill and ornate plumes on head, neck, and back. Length 46 inches, Wingspan 72 inches. This heron was feeding on fish in a pond at Grizzley Island in the Suisun Marsh.
