Yosemite Monarch
This Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) was photographed in
Yosemite National Park early one morning. The butterfly awakens and must
wait to warm up before it can take flight. Without this fact, this butterfly
would have been too wary to have ever let someone hold it.
